A wonderful burger joint in Seven Kings. Jake has managed to gain a cult following and you have to be careful as the opening times vary. Every time I see the lights on I can't resist walking in and ordering one of Jakes finest burgers, full of flavour and size! The blowout really is something you would find in the USA, and makes this place truly unique in an area which is otherwise inundated with chicken and chip shops. The chips are your bog standard chips but it's all about the burger, and what makes this place stand even further is the sheer simplicity of it all. The decor looks like it's been the same since it first opened many moons ago but it adds a certain allure. If you are in the area don't miss out on this truly fascinating establishment, Jake is a lovely owner who always has time for a good chat!

From the outside, Jake's looks like it's nothing special. But walk past at the appropriate time (weekend evenings) and you will see scores of people queuing to get their mitts on one of Jakes's legendary burgers. This independent burger bar has no seating area, and it has remained in terms of its decor and signage unchanged pretty much all my life. But, oh! The burgers! These are thick, juicy and packed with flavour, made by the owner- manager to his own excellent recipe. You can have your burger any way you want it. Piled high with all manner of artery- busting goodies, or keep it classic with a slice of cheese, some onions and a blob of rich red ketchup or mustard pumped by your own fair hand to your appropriate flavour ratio. It's simple, unpretentious and great value really all you could ask for in a burger.
